At Balumba Surf School, we pride ourselves on providing amazing surf lessons and surf guiding tailored for all surf levels, from beginners trying out surfing for the first time to surf guiding for students that already know how to surf but still need help with knowing the best surf spots. Our lessons include surf theory to ensure you understand the fundamentals, paired with practical instruction on land and in the water, depending on your level. We want to share with you our knowledge so that you can enjoy surfing as much as we do!
Our team consists of local Indonesian surf instructors, who all are really talented surfers and have many years of experience in teaching surfing as well as information about the surf spots. Being based in Uluwatu we have the possibility of surfing anywhere around the Bukit depending on the season, so we will match your level of surf skills with the right waves depending on the surfing conditions, for you to get the most out of the surf lessons. Our Surf Spots in Uluwatu
The surf spots where the surf lessons takes place varies depending on the season. When booking a lesson we will choose a surf spot in Uluwatu suitable for you, to be able to get the most out of the surf lesson. One of the reasons why it varies is because during dry season most surf spots on the west coast in the Bukit area works, but during wet season surf spots on the south coast are better. Therefore it is the best if you reach out to us on whatsapp so that we can answer all your questions and together find a surf spot that suits you.

We had a semi private lession for 2 hours wich was perfect! We had really nice conditions so we were able to catch some good waves, eventough it was the second time Surfing for us.
Our instructor was super friendly and helpful and put us in the perfect spot to take the wave. So a fun experience for a good price. Thank you!!

Private Surf Lesson
We had a great surfing session with Jati. He responded well to our level and what I liked best: Safety always came first. We never caught a wave when there were other surfers in front of us and Jati always told us where to wait so we were safe.
I've already had a few surfing lessons and I have to say that I felt very safe. And unfortunately that hasn't been the case with all of my surfing lessons (in other places) so far.
